Do you live in a low-rise building without any waste containers? Check to see if the neighbouring buildings have waste containers at their house. These containers are mandatory for the purpose of waste sorting.
This form is only available in Dutch.
These 2 waste containers are mandatory:
The paper container is not mandatory. You can bring paper and carton to under- and aboveground containers or share a paper container with your neighbours. If you would like to have one, you can easily do so via the form Request container. There are some problems with the company that supplies the containers. This is why it will take longer than usual to receive your containers.
Every household can request an additional container for organic waste (gft) or paper. To request these containers, use the form Request waste container (in Dutch).
It is only possible to request an additional rest+pmd-container at a household of 6 or more people. Call 14 036 to ask for your additional container.
From 2026 there are costs attached to an additional container for gft or rest+pmd. An additional rest+pmd container costs €150 per year. An additional gft container costs €75. During 2026, households with an additional container will receive more information about this by mail. Afterwards, you will have the option to keep the container(s). If you choose to keep the container(s), you will receieve a bill. Until that time, you will not have to make any payments.
You can also request a medical waste container. The container can be used for incontinence and stoma materials, disposable bed pads, washcloths, pantyliners and bandages. The medical waste container can be placed next to the rest+pmd-container for disposal.
The medical waste container can only be requested by calling 14 036.
You will receive an email within 5 workdays where we will give you a date of delivery. There is no need to stay at home for this.
