The Almere Municipality wants to provide all children a good start in life. That is why we provide enough preschools in Almere at an affordable price for everyone. Preschool is a form of childcare. In some cases, you can apply for childcare allowance.
Is the daycare, the after-school care (buitenschoolse opvang, bso), or the childminder registered in the National Childcare Register (Landelijk Register Kinderopvang)? Then you can file this in for your tax returns at the Tax Office (Belastingdienst), which will cover a part of your costs. This is called the childcare allowance (kinderopvangtoeslag). The height of your allowance depends on your personal circumstances and your income. Would you like to know if you apply for this? Please visit belastingdienst.nl.
Has your child received a VVE-indicatie from the health clinic? With a VVE-indicatie, your child may use more hours at a preschool. As a parent, you will be paying a monthly ouderbijdrage (parental contribution). The amount is decided by your income.
For 2025, you can use the VNG Adviestabel ouderbijdrage peuteropvang 2025 (in Dutch, VNG advise table parental contribution nursery 2025) to calculate how much the parental contribution will be. If you need any help or support with this process, please contact De Schoor (in Dutch) or ask the organisation where your child is placed or will be placed.
