Moving to or within Almere

If you are moving to or within Almere, make sure to let the municipal government know in time. You can do this online between 4 weeks before the move to no later than 5 days after the move. DigiD is required.

If you are no longer registered in the Basisregistratie personen (BRP), you cannot register your move online. You could be deregistered from the BRP because of a completed address investigation. If you are deregistered and you want to register your move, you will have to make an appointment.

If you have registered your move, then this information will appear in the BRP. You will receive a letter of your registration at your new address. If the registration of your move has been processed, you will be notified in MijnOverheid.

Who can submit the move?

The declaration can be done by:

  • You yourself, if you are 16 or older
  • A parent, legal guardian or caregiver for children under the age of 16
  • Cohabitating spouses/registered partners on behalf of one another
  • Cohabitating parent(s) and children over the age of 16 on behalf of one another
  • The legal guardian on behalf of their ward

What you need to register your move
