Moving abroad

If you are moving abroad from Almere, make sure to notify the municipality.

All residents from the same address are moving abroad

You can report your move online if all residents from the same address are moving abroad for more than 8 months. You can also immediately report the relocation of the family members who are moving along with you. If you’re planning on staying abroad for less than 8 months, you don’t have to notify the municipality.

This form is only available in Dutch.

You have to make an appointment at the desk of Burgerzaken for the following cases:

  • Not all residents from the same address are moving abroad.
  • Children under the age of 16 years are moving without their guardian. The child and the guardian have to personally report this at the counter of Burgerzaken.
  • You are moving to Aruba, Curaçao, Sint-Maarten, Bonaire, Sint-Eustasius or Saba. Make sure to personally report your move at the desk of Burgerzaken in city hall as soon as possible. You can do this on the day before or the day of your move at the latest. You can then immediately receive proof of deregistration. You will need this document for local authorities.

Is a family member staying behind at the address? In that case you will need to personally report to the Burgerzaken counter. You can make an appointment for this.
