A day at preschool

Toddlers learn through play. Every day will have set times for eating and drinking, activities or free play. After only a few visits, your child will know exactly what to expect.

This is what a day can look like:

  • Toddlers arrive with their parents/carers and will briefly play together. Then the parents/carers leave and the children will sit in a circle. Songs are sung and afterwards the childcare worker will tell them what they are going to do.
  • They will work with clay and make dots or balls. This is good for the development of their motor skills and they will also learn how to count.
  • Time to play outside. Exercise is healthy, but toddlers will also, for example, learn to wait for their turn on the bike.
  • Once inside, the childcare worker will read them a story. Afterwards, they will discuss the story. Toddlers learn new words because of the stories and by talking about it with each other.
  • The day is over and it is time for a goodbye song.
